AI CHI TESTIMONIALS:
Kara is a warm & gentle instructor who leads us thru this meditative movement practice with skillful ease. Despite my fears (coming with the limitations of chronic back problems), I found a freedom, strength & serenity practicing Ai Chi in the ambient warmth of the pool. This is by far one of the best movement classes I've had the pleasure of participating in. - Suzanne, retired counsellor The teacher is friendly, open and charming! The experience was soothing and rejuvenating “Blissful “is a word I would use to describe Kara’s Ai Chi class! I found Ai chi to be very gentle, and soothing form of meditation. Performing the movements in the warmth and support of the heated water was very centering. Kara led the class with confidence and grace in a wonderfully relaxed and intimate setting. - Rose-Anne Kara's ai chi class is a wonderful way to exercise the mind & body. ![]() AiChi is a graceful form of aquatic exercise that involves a sequence of gentle movements based on qi gong, tai chi and aquatic therapy. The focus is on slow, intentional movement accompanied with an awareness of breath. Ai Chi is a total body strengthening, stabilizing, relaxing, harmonizing progression that blends East & West philosophies to integrate the mental, physical & life-force energies. Performed in warm water, standing shoulder-depth, the water & movement together facilitate range of motion, balance, core strength & stability. The movements are simple, and meditative when performed repeatedly & co-ordinated with breath. Ai Chi is a wonderfully soothing, calming way to add purposeful movement to your life. Kara provided top-notch instruction & gentle guidance. The setting was perfect. I was surprised by the effort Ai Chi requires, although you don't notice it in the pool at all. Ai Chi is my new form of gentle exercise that seems more meditative that strenuous but definitely provides a workout
