Making magic & meaning together to celebrate this special time of year. Bring a selection of stones, leaves, flower petals, pinecones, and other small natural objects to create a nature mandala together. Sip on cacao enriched, home made chai tea (non-dairy & caffeine free) while sharing intentions for the new season, moving into the depths of winter with the promise of light increasing. What will you plant, what will you prune? Finally, enjoy a deliciously releasing and relaxing yoga class ~ low to the ground, with lots of props, sweet music and candlelight.
$35 if you register before December 1, $45 after

Summer Solstice & Sun Salutations
Practicing the sun salutations regularly is one of the quickest ways to obtain & maintain a supple body & is a lovely way to celebrate the beginning of summer. It's original intent was a way to show appreciation for the 'giver of life', and it was practiced as a physical form of prayer. These alternating backward and forward bending asanas flex and stretch the spinal column and limbs through their maximum range. We will practice two variations of the sequence and learn some of the mantras (Sanskrit names for the sun).
Practice one of the oldest asana sequences, "Suryanamaskar" (Sun Salutations), to express gratitude for this "bright star", and honour both the longest day of the year, and International Yoga Day!
